Centre for Philosophical Pursuit (CPP) is a non-profit trust that is dedicated to serving the society through education, empowerment and enlightenment. CPP is a philanthropic endeavour of Dr. Geetha Ramanujam, a renowned educationist, philosopher and social activist. Following the words of Swami Vivekananda, “service to man is service to god,” the trust has been promoting various philanthropic activities for over fifteen years, targeting various cross sections of the Indian society, especially the youth, women, aged and rural masses.
The focused activities of CPP help people meet the challenges of life and living through philosophical wisdom - philosophy of education, philosophy of business, philosophy of environmental awareness, philosophy of success and failure, and harmony between mind and body, to name a few, Interactive sessions, group discussions and exchange programmes combined with the spiritual counseling of Dr. Geetha Ramanujam help realize CPP’s goals.
Geethanjali, a cultural wing of CPP, is promoting missions of the trust through theatre, music and dance. It has produced folk ballets, street plays with positive social messages and magnum-opus productions depicting the living philosophy of Indian spiritual masters, including Sri Muttuswamy Dikshitar, Sri ShamaShastry, Sri Thayagaraja, Sri Purandara dasa and Sri Madhwacharya.
CPP has ventured into formal education through GR Educational Institutions. The founders of CPP believe that any service to society is incomplete in a country like India if it does not focus on rural development, most importantly in the form of rural education. Hence, CPP is dedicated to extending quality education in a rural setting.
